Run like hell

Two of our very own toughed it out this weekend at the Dallas White Rock Marathon and Half Marathon despite some pretty terrible weather. Mason S. completed in the half-marathon and Larry W. of the Masters class completed the full marathon. Mason set a personal record even though he thought he wasn’t ready because of a lack of training runs. He has been a regular at our 5:45am class since the get-go though. Larry decided to run the marathon a week ago and has been running marathons for almost 30 years. He clocked in at 27 minutes faster this year. All that hard work inside and out of the gym has really paid off for these guys!

CrossFit Total Time!

CrossFit Total provides good data for measuring strength improvement over time.  As movement improves and strength is gained, the amount of load one can safely and efficiently move increases. The total sum of a 1 rep max in each of the three lifts including the back squat, the shoulder press, and the deadlift make up the score for the CrossFit Total.

The Truth about big food companies

Why should you eat good, clean, unprocessed foods regardless of a little extra cost?

“Over the long-term, you always get what you pay for. Cheap food is very expensive once you add up the true costs — like the taxes you pay to subsidize Big Food companies, health consequences like obesity or diabetes, the devastating harm to our environment, and the inhumane treatment of animals raised within the industrialized food system.” <– Check out the link for the full story.

K-Star says:

Get correctly set up BEFORE you begin to text or type.  You cannot reclaim lost positioning once you’ve entered the texting tunnel. For every time you catch yourself in a poor texting/typing position today, you will need to perform 25 hollow rocks.  The penalty needs to be stiff.  You can change.  Make a better decision.  Now.
